Jess Murrain is a multidisciplinary performer, theatre-maker, actor and poet. Her work focuses on themes surrounding queer identity, love, mental health and loss.
‘Last year, I invited festival goers to explore their anxiety in a poetry workshop. I quickly realised, that mostly, people just want to talk.’
The Anxiety Series: Speak it Out is live art work following on from The Anxiety Series: Poems at Brainchild 2018. It offers a place to talk and/or protest, or to simply listen and be with others. Part sit-in, part happening, Speak it Out is a coming together of festival goers to occupy and share a space.
