Brainchild is welcoming Rachel Nwokoro as a festival resident poet this year!
Rachel is a queer black woman of Nigerian heritage, and she loves telling stories. Rachel has won a number of competitions, most notably 2016 UK Slam Poetry Champion. A passionate, disabled artist, she is unapologetic in communication and dedicated to speaking openly about her story in the hopes that her art can provide a small sanctuary for others like it did for her. She (/Her) is a person who loves loudly.
Her debut poetry collection “Little You” is available online and in shops now.
Disclaimer: People who hate Beyoncé are why Rachel has trust issues.
